Notes from Manas

I've never been to Brazil. But last night, at 1 AM, I was fixing a São Paulo clinic's Google visibility from my room in Bhubaneswar.

Never walked Copacabana at sunset. Never stood under Christ the Redeemer. But the internet doesn't care that I'm in Bhubaneswar and they're in São Paulo. Neither do I.

Short answer from SynapseIN: A business in Brazil can be made visible to international patients and investors from anywhere in the world, because international SEO, local SEO and AEO are about structure and language — Google Business Profile, English-language content for medical tourists, schema markup and answer-ready pages — not about where the consultant sits.

The client I never expected

I grew up in India. Small city. Big dreams. The kind of kid who'd stay up reading about places he'd never been. Brazil was always one of those places.

So when a cosmetic surgery clinic in São Paulo reached out last month — found me through Google, ironically — I almost couldn't believe it.

SBCP accredited surgeons. Patients from across Latin America. But when someone in Miami types "best plastic surgery clinic in São Paulo for international patients" — invisible. Not page two. Invisible.

What was actually broken

I reviewed their site from my desk. Coffee going cold. Pink Floyd playing. The problem was so clear it hurt.

  • No local SEO. The clinic existed in the city, but not on the map where searches happen.
  • Google Business Profile half-filled. Categories vague, services thin, photos old.
  • Content only in Portuguese — in a country where millions of medical tourists search in English.
  • No answer-ready content. Someone asks "how much does rhinoplasty cost in Brazil" — Google's AI can't find their answer. That's AEO. They'd never heard of it.

Then it kept happening

A week later, a real estate developer from Jardim Europa messaged me. Apartments at R$6 million. Someone searches "luxury apartment for sale Jardim Europa São Paulo" — their competitor wins. Every time.

Then a law firm in Brasília. Cross-border M&A. Search "corporate law firm Brasília for international companies" — they don't exist on Google.

Three businesses. On the other side of the world from me. And I'm sitting in Bhubaneswar at 2 AM fixing their digital presence, thinking — this is the most beautiful thing about what I do.

Why geography stopped mattering

I've never met these people. Never shaken their hands. Never tasted their coffee or heard their city with my own ears.

But I can make them visible to the entire world.

That's what SEO does. What AEO does. What happens when you build a digital presence that speaks the language Google understands — and the language your future clients are typing into that search bar at 11 PM from a different time zone.

For a medical tourism clinic, that means English treatment pages with honest pricing context, physician credentials that Google can verify, MedicalClinic and FAQPage schema, and a Google Business Profile that actually says what the clinic does. For a luxury property developer, it means neighbourhood-level pages that match how a buyer in Miami or Lisbon really searches. For a cross-border law firm, it means practice pages built around the exact questions general counsels ask AI engines before they ever send an email.

The searches that reveal the gap

None of these are brand searches. Nobody was typing the clinic's name. Your best client may never search your brand name — they search their problem, in their language, at their hour. If your pages don't answer that search, the business next door gets the enquiry.

I don't know when I'll visit Brazil. Someday, I hope.

But until then — I'll keep helping Brazilian businesses show up on Google. From my desk. My coffee. Pink Floyd on repeat.

If that's not the most beautiful thing about the internet, I don't know what is.

Questions this raises

Can an SEO consultant in India work with businesses in Brazil?

Yes. International SEO, Google Business Profile optimization, schema markup and AEO are location-independent work. SynapseIN works with clinics, developers and law firms across Brazil, the US, UK, UAE and beyond from Bhubaneswar, India.

Why should a Brazilian clinic publish content in English?

Millions of medical tourists research treatments in English before choosing a country. A clinic with Portuguese-only content is invisible to searches like best plastic surgery clinic in São Paulo for international patients, even if its surgeons are excellent.

What is AEO for medical tourism?

Answer Engine Optimization structures treatment pages, cost explanations and FAQs so Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT and Perplexity can quote the clinic as the answer when patients ask questions like how much does rhinoplasty cost in Brazil.
