Working with SynapseIN from Japan.
はじめまして。 SynapseIN is a founder-led agency in Bhubaneswar, India — no Japan office, and no pretending otherwise. This page explains, plainly, how an engagement with a Japan-based business actually runs: the contracts, the clocks, the communication rules, and the limits.
The clocks first
The overlap, concretely: when it is 13:00 in Tokyo it is 09:30 in Bhubaneswar. From your early afternoon until your late evening, we are at the desk. Morning JST meetings are possible by arrangement; afternoon JST meetings are easy.
Clocks show approximate local time, not availability. Meetings are always confirmed in writing with the timezone stated — "15:00 JST / 11:30 IST" — so nobody shows up an hour early to an empty call.
Where this page comes from
SynapseIN's client history includes long-running Japan-linked work — English-language search visibility for a hospitality business serving international guests. We don't name that client here, because we publish client names and quotes only with current written permission, and we don't have that permission on file for this page. The working pattern that built the relationship, though, is no secret: deadlines that mean the date stated, recaps in writing after every call, and one decision per message. That is the standard we apply to every engagement, described in full on our international working-rules page.
How an engagement runs
- Contracts and language: all agreements, reports and deliverables are in English. If your team needs time to review internally or translate, take it — we would rather start a week later than start unclear.
- Meetings scheduled in JST. You never have to convert timezones; we do that part and confirm both times in writing.
- Written recap after every call: decisions, owners, deadlines — same day, in writing. If the recap is wrong, correcting one email is cheap; discovering the misunderstanding a month later is not.
- One decision per message. Questions arrive one at a time so every answer is unambiguous.
- Response window: messages are normally answered within one business day (IST). Urgent items flagged as urgent are treated accordingly. We do not promise 24/7 availability.
- Payments: by invoice — international bank transfer or agreed alternatives. Written scope before any work begins.
What we do and don't do for Japan-based clients
- We do: SEO, AEO and GEO for English-language visibility — international guests, overseas buyers, global B2B audiences finding you through Google and AI assistants in English.
- We do: technical SEO, structured data, site builds and audits on any stack — those are language-neutral.
- We don't: Japanese-language content campaigns, Japanese-language keyword strategy, or representation to Japanese-language media. If your growth depends on Japanese-language search, we will tell you on the first call and you will save a month.
Start the conversation
Send your website and what you need. You will get a plain-English reply within one business day (IST) — including "we're not the right fit" if that is the honest answer.
